Eventually, this website will be devoted to
Fantasy Fillies, Princess of Power horses,
Breyer Ponies, and some other different types of collectible
equines. But it has
been created only recently, and its master
is still kind of a butterfingers with this HTML stuff, so
please be patient during its construction. Right now, only the
Grand Champion section is up (though not complete).
But please feel free to
click below and visit the beginnings
of my site. I thank you for visiting these stables!
Nearly all the photos that appear on
this site are © Sloane Eljay and are mine.
There are some pictures here that were captured by other people,
and I have used them with permission. I would
request that you NOT steal any of the images at this
site! If you see a horse here that you would like a photo
of, please contact me and inquire about it. I am often
willing to provide a photo on request of a particular
horse, or I may let you use a photo from this site, but PLEASE
ASK ME FIRST. And keep in mind, too, that
photographs that don't belong to me (the ones I have
borrowed) are not mine to lend out.
This may seem like a weird request, but it would be nice if I
didn't get emails asking, "Can I borrow (these FIFTEEN pictures)?"
Donating photos: It's your chance to be a *STAR!* If you're
looking around my site and you see an empty spot that's just
screaming to have one of your pictures placed in it,
feel free to drop me an email and send me a photo or two!
If I decide to use it, you'll get it credited to you with your
name in BOLD! -- That's exciting, huh? That's like
the Internet equivalent of having your name in lights.
It means you've been discovered, and this will be the place
where everybody knows your name. Also, if you have already
donated a photo and would like to change the way you've been
credited, please let me know! I have no life, so I am at
the site all the time making changes and am more than happy to
update your name, link it to your homepage, whatever you like!

Site Originality
If everybody did that and traded
pictures, all the websites would look the same. There have
been many times where I have drooled over the photos at someone else's
place, but I would never ask to use those pics, because they are
part of what makes that site unique and special. And there is
definitely less of that special-feeling when I visit
different sites and see the same pictures over
and over of the same horses.
So... I may not give permission to use some of my pics, and I hope
other people may do the same. If you are desperately in need of a
pic of a rarer horse I may have, ask me to take a pic specifically
for
you.
I am often willing to do that,
and that way it will be unique for your site alone. I also
recommend borrowing auction photos to use at websites. If you see
an Ebay auction photo you like, just
email
the seller and tell him this is his big opportunity to get
published on the web, and can you please use the photo at your
site. My experience has been that most people are
happy to give you the OK, and flattered to see themselves credited
on one of your pages. That is a great way to get a photo
of your
very own without sacrificing the originality of someone else's
pages. (And remember, if you're borrowing my pictures that are
already up, it's not just MY site that now sucks a little more
for being less unique... YOURS does too !)
The fancy graphics and small pictures you will see around this site
are definitely not mine; they are images I have acquired from
"Free Graphics" sites, and they all belong to their respective
creators. The only ones that are kind of mine are the images
I have composited and edited, but these are still composed of
borrowed graphics.
Detailed credit for these fancy graphics can be found
on the Links Page, where you can visit the same sites I did and see
the work of these artisans firsthand.

Other Stuff About This Site
I consider this site to be rated PG most of the time, with
dabbling in PG-13, but there is nothing
obscene or explicit here. I think of my site as being pretty
Family Friendly. (Certainly, kids will hear much worse
language in school and from their peers, so I guess it is a
moot point.)
I have tried to make this site as user-friendly as possible!
I know that is a cliche now but it is supposed to mean that
the place is easy to navigate and the pages are well-organized.
You
will not find glaring, light-colored text on dark
backgrounds (My pet peeve!), or fonts that are too thick to read,
or pages that dead-end, or page wallpaper that is too busy and
distracting so you can't read the text. It is all dark on light,
bolded
where important, and I have tried to use polite
fonts everywhere. And on every page, there is at least
one link that will help you escape or get back to the
main page, (Um. Except here of course,
because this is the main page) because we all
know how annoying it is when you can't run away when
you want to.
You see, I was once like you, a Siteless Surfer, so I know
how it is when you go to other people's pages and get all
frustrated with the headache fonts and stupid annoying
layouts, menu options that are scattered in paragraphs
instead of lined up nicely, important stuff that is the
same size as everything else so you can't find it...
Or how
about those really annoying websites where you have to read
this huge description of the "Magical Ponyland" that is three pages
long, and the links are these random words in it that have no bearing
on where the links actually go so you're just clicking randomly??!
We've all been there, and
I promise I'll never do
that to you. That's not to say I'm succinct (lol, I'm definitely
not!) but I will never force you read huge paragraphs of
irritating "Pony Shmoo" just to find my links.
YEESH. They are lined up right where they need to be!
Anyway this
is my first website ever, so it still needs tweaking
and I am sure some of the links don't work, but I am hard at
work on everything !
