The Year

Standard Run Traditional Grand Champions

1999 was an interesting year for Grand Champions. Two new poses were introduced: The Cutting Mare and the Rearing Stallion, bringing the Mare Count to 7, and the Stallions to 11. Empire decided to go Model UN Day on the breeds, and they tried to get creative on some of the color schemes, but '99 seems to have some kind of curse. I don't know if these are actually rare horses, or just unpopular, but you don't hear much about them, and they aren't found that commonly. I heard somewhere that the regular designers for the horses either took a break this year or maybe got fired or something, so the colors and details on this group may be odd for some legitimate reason.
That is, they seem odd. These horses just feel different from all the others.

There were never any foals made to these guys, which I guess is ok since most of them don't have a lot of personality. The genders appear to match exactly in color, but some of them have different tack. I don't have many pictures of these guys, so the detail page is, shall we say, lacking.
To help locate the horses in the photos, they have been referenced by their "number" position in the pictures: 1 through 6, moving left to right, top to bottom.
